Professional Counseling

Clinical treatment

Diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions — anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and more — provided by a licensed clinical professional.

  • Delivered under LMHC (WA) / LIMHP & LPC (NE) licensure
  • Billable through insurance
  • Protected under standard clinical confidentiality
  • Booked through Headway, Grow Therapy, or Tava Health

Mental health and licensed professional counseling may be insurance-reimbursable for the treatment of a diagnosable mental health condition meeting medical necessity criteria.

Consulting

Goal-focused support

Structured, forward-looking sessions for people who want a thinking partner for a specific goal — not treatment for a mental health condition.

  • Non-clinical — not a substitute for therapy
  • Self-pay, not billed to insurance
  • Flexible scope, built around your goal
  • Booked directly through YouCanBook.me
Clinical Supervision

For clinicians

Individual clinical supervision for provisionally licensed clinicians and clinicians working toward independent licensure.

  • For provisional licensees seeking full licensure (LMHP) and full licensees seeking independent licensure (LIMHP)
  • Self-pay (pre-payment discounts may be available)
  • Booked directly through YouCanBook.me

Ryan Alan Suhr, MSEd

WA — LMHC (LH 61549149) NE — LIMHP (357) NE — LPC (1683) M.S.Ed, University of Nebraska at Kearney

Pending Nebraska's adoption of the Counseling Compact, this LPC license will support practice privileges across all Compact member states.

Ryan has worked in mental health, child welfare, and developmental disability services since the early 2000s — in offices, in residential settings, and now primarily by telehealth. Today his practice focuses on adults of all ages — individuals and couples working through whatever they're facing.

His approach draws on existential and humanistic thinking as much as it does cognitive-behavioral technique. He's less interested in treating people like problems to be solved and more interested in helping them find a steadier relationship with themselves, the people around them, and whatever they're facing.

Ryan began providing clinical supervision in 2010 and continues to find meaning in the professional development of competent and compassionate practitioners.
